The business was established by James Bakewell in 2017 as Redmill Accountancy & Finance. In 2021, Neil Woodley joined the business to play a pivotal part in the rebranding to Three Bridges Recruitment.

James and Neil are specialists in accountancy and finance recruitment. They have collectively worked in the industry for 30 years. They have a strong track record of working together, building a great partnership which complements each other's individual strengths.

Both James and Neil work on every vacancy, thereby providing an excellent service as well as a more balanced point of view.

They both live and work in South Queensferry and have children that keep them busy. They both completed the 2021 London Marathon.

James is a dedicated recruitment specialist with 17 years of experience working with numerous clients and companies. Over this time, he has developed a passion for driving value and change within organisations.

His career began with some of the largest UK recruiting firms, these opportunities presenting themselves due to his degree in Law. After 4 years heading Redmill Accountancy and Finance James decided to rebrand and thus the decision to rename to Three Bridges Recruitment was taken. It is here in October 2021 that Neil was approached to play an integral role in the new direction of the company. 

On a personal note, James is an avid runner having proven his talents by running multiple marathons; he also continuously values self-improvement, therefore leading him to study towards a power MBA.

I am a recruiter focusing on specialist finance recruitment, I live and work in a small town named South Queensferry which is on the doorstep of Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh.

My recruitment career has spanned over 13 truly varied years, managing teams across multiple disciplines throughout the UK. I have a particular passion for charity work, in particular cancer charities, two of which I have worked and volunteered for in the past.

My other employment history includes working for start-up businesses and growing teams from scratch within the recruitment industry, all of which touting impressive consecutive years of growth, remaining in the top 10 within relevant UK leader boards.

In 2021 I was presented with an opportunity to play an integral part in the creation of a business named Three Bridges Recruitment. I currently work here in my role as Management Consultant where I operate as part of a close-knit team.

Here I am able to demonstrate a more personal approach to recruiting. I care about placing the right people in the right roles. I get to know the motivations and driving forces behind candidates and clients to ensure the best possible match.

Personally, I enjoy numerous outdoor activities from park runs to mountain biking, and when I’m not engaged in a new physical challenge, I spend my time with my kids, keeping them curious about life.
